Galtee Rovers/St. Pecauns
A club you can support, a community that matters. Founded in 1885 Galtee Rovers/St. Pecauns GAA Club is a club with deep roots in the local community of Bansha/Kilmoyler parish. Throughout its history, the club has enjoyed great success both on and off the pitch. However, its eyes are to the future and it has great ambitions to give back to the community which has long supported it.

Current Facilities at Galtee Rovers Canon Hayes Park/McGrath Centre

  • The John Moloney viewing Stand
  • Two full size playing pitches including a floodlit training pitch
  • All weather hurling/ball wall training area
  • Four player dressing rooms
  • Indoor heated Hall with removable stage area
  • Kitchen facilities/Bar/meeting room
  • Public toilets and Referees shower room
  • 24 hour CCTV protected facility
  • Future Development Plans

  • Install new Astroturf pitch with LED floodlighting
  • Perimeter walking track with lighting and outdoor fitness equipment
  • Biodiversity area
  • Upgrade ball stop netting behind goals
  • Upgrade groundskeeper storage lawnmower shed

  • Galtee Rovers GAA is proven to be fully committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of its members and all involved in its activities. Every individual is shown respect and understanding. Each member conducts themselves in a way that reflects the Mission, Vision & Values of the Association and the guidelines contained in the GAA code of conduct.

    Some of the other key points are

  • To provide a better player experience from underage, school and on to adulthood
  • Ensure appropriate financial management within the Club
  • Continuously implement Child protection/Code of Conduct
  • Improve the structure and quality of our Juvenile System
  • All of these areas and tasks will require many hours of work but we are confident we have the people and the resources within our club to complete the tasks.
